Allow display of LA Handicapped Tag Information

Hi Gerald. Thanks for suggesting we add the LA Handicapped Tag information to LA Wallet. I will review this request with the Office of Motor Vehicles.

My wife, our daughter’s caregiver and myself at any given time will take our daughter with us for outings to the store, a social activity, ...etc. She has Down Syndrome along with an auto immune disorder. Having the ability to carry her tag/handicap I’d in the app would be great.

I rarely have a wallet with me. It would come in handy if they put the handicap license as well

This is a good idea, but people don't forget your picture ID that ties with your handicapped tags or plates, doesn't have a name on them, so this could be a issue.

The app should not replace the hanging placard in your vehicle. However, I would like to be able to add a copy of my handicap license. I have added my drivers license already.

I was also searching to see if I can add my Handicap license I.D. card number to the APP. I do so hope this is taken into consideration.

Yes would be nice to add my handicap ID to this app. Even to your state ID, Maybe a Twick Card, Hunting/ Fishing ID, even a Birth Certificate (the one I gave is like a card anyway... The default would be your DL but have a drop down menu to select / show other state forms / documents. ( Bar Card/ Server ID/ Passport....

That would be great but I didn't see how it would work. It couldn't be displayed only shown upon request by law enforcement. Maybe I am missing something. Please let me know how it would work. Thanks

Yes, I absolutely feel that I should have the ability to pull up my handicap ID, since that is not shown on the license

I agree with what others have said, it should only replace or rather have a Digital Version of the Handicap ID Card, not the actual Hang Tag Placard. You can now have a License Plate AND Hang Tag Placard that way you can keep the hang tag placard in another vehicle for use when transporting the person with a disability or for yourself if you’re the disabled person. The ID’s have the persons picture, sex, height and weight so identification should not be an issue.

Hi I would like to place my handicapped Id on here. As well as my EBT Card. Fishing and hunting License would be nice also.No I don't fish are hunt anymore since becoming crippled. I plan on rigging a way for me to go fishing. Hunting would be way to hard on me. Oh and I'd like to put my flight license and permit on here.

The disabled ID does not show a name but the photo would be of the same person as the DL/ID. If both are available in the app, that should be an efficient way to tie the two cards together.

So awesome yal offer r trying to get this offer threw la wallet along w driver licences n r id.so so much easier than us that are mobility n physically limited to not have to go in to n wait at dmv.
I just renews my lisence how do i get another handicap hanger for vehicle i have has n been disabled since 2000 thank you

It would be a tremendous help to be able to add a Mobility Impaired ID Card to the LA Wallet App. Please consider this for individuals who are Mobility Impaired.

If the tag can’t be added. Maybe if a copy of the mobility impaired ID could be added in addition to the drivers license, or added to the drivers license itself. My driver’s license doesn’t shows that I have handicap Placard, it is an additional card that I have to carry

If your handicap card is tied to your DL, then it should be tied together since my handicap tag expires the same day as my License & it’s a hassle to make an appt with DMV again for something that should be automatic

this would be huge plus for us.why cant our handicapp expiration n r renewal notice be on r with renewal of lisence r id threw the online service.its already hard n stressful enough getting out r getting ride now w COVID.Seems hopefully this will step up the consideration process.
